About Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana

The main intention behind launching the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana, by the Government Of Odisha, is to provide comprehensive and universal health coverage to the people of the State.

There have been special emphasis provided for the economically vulnerable families.

There are two aspects of this health insurance scheme :

At State Government Health Care Facilities – The Government Of Odisha will bear all costs of all the healthcare facilities that are delivered to patients ( irrespective of income, status of living or residence ) starting from Sub centers to Medical Colleges to Blood Bank levels.

At Private Health care Facilities – The Government Of Odisha will bear all costs of all healthcare facilities that are being delivered to patients for over 96.5 Lakhs economically weaker families of the State. This coverage of health annually will amount to 5 Lakhs per family per year.

Along with it, there is also an additional 5 Lakhs coverage for women members of the family. This will be after the exhaustion of the initial coverage limit of 5 Lakhs.

At State Government health care facilities all health services charges are borne by the State Government, including those for drugs, diagnostics, dialysis, Cancer chemotherapy, OT, I.C.U, in-patient admission blood bank services etc., in all government health institutions up to Government Medical College Hospital level, for all persons.

At all scheme approved private hospitals families having NFSA/ SFSS/ BSKY Smart Health Card can avail cashless treatment at any empanelled private hospital under BSKY within or outside the State.

Card holder families can avail facilities such as registration, consultation, medical tests, pathology, treatment, IPD and follow-up consultation under BSKY at any scheme approved private hospitals, for which State Government will bear the cost up to the annual coverage amount.

  1. First, the applicant applying for the BSKY have to visit the official website i.e. nhmodisha.gov.in
  2. After the homepage appears on the screen, tap on the Apply Now button.
  3. The Odisha BSKY Application Form will appear on the screen.
  4. Enter the details asked on the BSKY Registration form.
  5. Applicant have to enter their Name, Parents Name, Family Details and the declaration form.
  6. The applicant has to affix various documents related to income, domicile and date of birth.
  7. After completely filling the application form. Applicants have to submit the BSKY 2023 Registration Form.
